Skawin Medical & Healthcare App Privacy Policy

This section explains how Skawin Medical & Healthcare handles personal information when you use our mobile app (the “App”).
Information the App handles
- Account and profile: your mobile number for one-time-password sign-in and profile details you choose to provide, such as name, email address, and date of birth.
- Family-member or patient details: name, relationship, gender, date of birth or age, and mobile number for people you add or make a service request for. Only provide information you are authorised to share.
- Healthcare service enquiries: requested service, patient and contact-person details, care requirements and notes, and service-specific details such as gender, age, prescription availability, fasting requirements, preferred dates or times, and location coordinates. These details may reveal sensitive health information.
- Address and location: saved addresses and locations you choose to include in a request. If you use the current-location feature, the App asks for location permission and uses your device location for that feature. You can select a map location or decline permission; some location features may then be unavailable.
- App operation: authentication identifiers and request timestamps needed to operate and protect the App.
How we use information
We use App information to sign you in; save profile, family-member, and address details you choose to keep; receive and manage service enquiries; contact you about a request; coordinate the requested service with relevant Skawin staff and healthcare professionals; protect the App; meet legal obligations; and resolve disputes.
Firebase, maps, and external apps
The App uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, provided by Google, for sign-in and cloud data storage. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
The App uses OpenStreetMap map tiles and the Nominatim service to display maps and look up an address for a map location. Relevant map requests, coordinates, and technical connection information may be processed by those services; see the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. The App also lets you open a saved address or Skawin’s office location in Google Maps. If you choose that option, the address or location query is sent to Google Maps under Google’s Privacy Policy.
If you tap a phone, email, WhatsApp, website, or map link, the App opens the relevant external app or service. WhatsApp opens with a general contact message for you to review and send yourself. External services handle information you choose to provide under their own privacy policies, including the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
Sharing
We may share relevant information with authorised Skawin staff, healthcare professionals, or service providers when needed to respond to or coordinate the service you requested. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our rights, or to address security or fraud concerns. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Retention and deletion
We keep information as long as needed to provide the App and requested services, maintain necessary business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect users. When information is no longer needed, we will delete it or take reasonable steps to remove identifying details, subject to applicable law.
To delete your account and associated App data, sign in, open Settings, choose Delete account and data, and confirm. This removes your App sign-in and associated customer profile, family-member records, saved addresses, service enquiries, and linked customer follow-up records.
If you cannot access the App, visit skawin.in/delete-your-skawin-account/ or email skawinmhc@gmail.com with the subject Skawin app account deletion request. Include the mobile number used to sign in, with its country code, and the words Delete my Skawin account. Do not send medical reports, prescriptions, or other health documents. We will process email deletion requests within 3 business days, may contact you to verify account ownership, and will email you to confirm the outcome.
Your choices and rights
You can edit profile details, manage saved family-member and address information, and deny or later revoke device location permission in your device settings. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information, subject to applicable law and any records we must retain.
Security and information about others
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. The App is intended for adults or people acting with appropriate authority for the person receiving care. If you enter information about a child or another person, you must be authorised to provide it and should share only what is needed.
